One of the favored brands is Shakespeare, a company with a tried and true reputation in the industry. Shakespeare has a Medium Action Travel Mate Spinning Rod that is six feet by six inches. It collapses to a fifteen inch length and comes with a storage case. It features stainless steel guides and ceramic inserts with a twist-lock graphite reel seat. It comes in under $15 with the possibility of free shipping if other purchases of $25 or more are made at the same time. Customers vote in its favor for the ease fo taking it in the canoe, biking, camping or on any fishing trip. They're happy with its performance and price, only recommending that you make sure it is assembled tightly before you begin to cast. Otherwise, you might have to go swimming!

The Trailworthy Telescopic Rod and Reel costs a little more money than the Shakespeare but also has has positive reviews. When fully assembled, it's about 6.2 feet in length; when folded, it's about 15 inches in length. It has lightweight foam grips that are comfortable in your hand when you're spending the day fishing. The spinning reel can be replaced or changed without a problem. This set is meant for fresh water and it's recommended for that first rod for a novice fisherman or child. The majority of customers on the site gave it good reviews, stating it was exactly what they needed in a rod that can be tucked into small places and to the job when they ask for it. A few had issues with its quality, claiming not to have too high expectations for the cost.

The Eagle Claw Pack- It Spin Combo Telescopic Rod is another option that comes in at a reasonable price, just under $22. It can be described as built to last and powerful in a tiny package. It has a aluminum reel that is lightweight, the handle folds with ease, and the spool is already loaded with line. It's a fiberglass rod with a cork handle. This fishing pole is ideal for the impulse fisherman. Keep it at the ready so you can pull over when the opportunity makes itself known or you hear the lake calling to you. They are the ones who already spent their money and they'll tell it like it is. The prices vary and can go high but that doesn't mean you have to rely on the most expensive being the best option. If the pole will do what you need it to, regardless of cost, that is what matters most. Once you've sent for your pole, you get ready and go. Spend a day getting to know your rod and reel, checking out its features, and getting accustomed to how it collapses and unfolds. Once you get used to it, you might find yourself taking more fishing trips, giving a telescopic fishing rod for a gift, getting out with the family and friends. There isn't a much better way to spend your time then sitting by the water, dropping your line, and easing into a day. Chances are you won't be telling stories about the one that got away if you have a rod that can go anywhere with you, on hand when you see that sweet spot and just have to give it a try. Get ready for that next camping trip. Drop by the pond on the way home from work. Pile the kids in the car and surpise each of them with their own telescopic fishing rod as you pull up by the lake. Get to that remote spot, way back in the woods, that Grandpa used to tell you about where he caught the mother of all fish. You might catch its grandbaby with your telescopic rod and have big fish story to tell everyone. They'll wish they were fishing.

Thanks for the nice resources. I love fishing but have never tried a telescopic fishing rod. May have to reconsider my fishing tackle and see if I can fit one into my collection. Thanks.
